Description:
A loss-in-weight feeder is a gravimetric metering device that receives materials from an upstream supply and accurately puts materials into a process at a predetermined feed rate. This screw feeder receives constant feedback from a sensitive weighing device, which ensures that the precise amount of material is delivered continuously. The loss-in-weight feeder incorporates a platform scale, which consists of conditioner screws, a platform weight scale and a controller. With this screw feeder, the total weight of the feeder and the weight of the product in the hopper are sensed by the load cell in the platform scale. Lantytk® mainly provides single screw and twin screw loss-in-weight feeders in various sizes.
